It's summer 2023 and we're baaaaaaccckkkk... that's right.. it's your favorite ghoulish students of the macabre, Judge Dread and Lonn Fiend! After a brief haitus and Covid complications which almost killed us both, more than once, the AHMA has returned bigger and better than ever with our brand new, shall we say re "vamped" website, annual film awards and steadfast commitment to promoting all American made horror movies! Now in our 19th year, we look forward to what the new film visionaries of the horror movie genre will bring us, and we look forward to do doing everything we can to promote American horror films as we always have. You will see us at conventions again, please stop and say hello!. We will continue to sponsor conventions and live events as we always have, and will we will continue to honor the "best of the best" with the most respected and anticipated horror awards gala in the industry: The Annual American Horror Movie Association Film Awards. We will continue to promote major budget commericial releases, small independent releases and fan favorite tributes as well! Judge Dread is still in New York, Lonn has moved from Los Angeles to Las Vegas. We are back and ready to start the next phase of this journey, and this new website will have many new features and areas we have not offered before, to both the movie producer and the horror movie fan alike. Winners of the 2023 American Horror Movie Association Film Awards will be announced on December 15, 2023.
Submissions for the 2024 AHMA film awards will be accepted starting December 15, 2023 and as in the past, will close on October 31, 2024. All films must now be submitted digitally through our Film Freeway account. We will no longer accept digital submissions directly to the website, nor physical DVD copies mailed to the P.O. Box, as in the past. New requirements and details will be available on our Film Freeway account and on this website shortly!
Additionally, submissions for horror film festivals and conventions for the 2024 calander year will be accepted for the "Events" page starting December 1, 2023 through this site under the "Submit Your Event" tab.
